According to Babycenter, Athena and Iris were two new names that climbed toward the top of the baby girl names, moving up 24 spots each. Another unexpected riser for girls was Freya, which jumped 22 places, bringing it into the top 100 names for the first time. Freya is a Scandinavian name meaning noble woman.

And finally, the Top 50 boy names of 2023! For boy names, Myles was the biggest riser, and River (our favorite!) moved up 31 places. For the first time, Legend and Atlas are the new baby boy names to break the Top 100 list.
