Meet our Mom: Hello hi! I’m Alex, I handle Organic Acquisition at Bobbie and (most importantly) am the mom to two sweet littles, June, (3.5) and Oliver (15 months). My husband, Mike, and I live in the middle of Massachusetts along with our two dogs and three cats.

It’s not a shock to most people who know me that data drives almost all my decision making. Working in growth marketing for the last decade, I’ve found it’s hard to argue with numbers and what they’re telling you. When I had kids, no one was surprised when I started to track everything about my newborn, from diapers to feedings and especially sleep patterns.

Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+ Review

The Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is a dream for data-obsessed parents like me. This wi-fi baby sleep monitor tracks not only your baby’s sleeping, but also their breathing patterns. And a major upside to the breath tracking: you don’t need to place any additional electronics on their body to do it. The monitor quickly connects to your smartphone, letting you move about your house without a bulky external monitor. The data collected from the monitor is seamlessly transferred to Miku’s newest feature, Care+, the first comprehensive pediatric wellness dashboard powered by the Miku Pro and developed in partnership with leading pediatric experts.

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about using a wifi-based baby monitor, simply because of the horror stories I’ve heard about them being hacked. But the Miku technology puts safety at the forefront, using a Crypto Chip to keep all data secure. Color me impressed!

Miku Baby Monitor

We received two Miku monitors, one for each of our children. Set up for both was a breeze; the box comes with everything you need to safely adhere the monitor to your wall (down to the measuring tape and pencil). I was able to install them easily in 30 minutes total. If you can’t install the Miku to your wall, there’s a floor stand you can buy that keeps the monitor at the optimal height, or you can place it on another surface and angle it into the crib. Connecting to the Miku app took just a few minutes, and we were ready to roll with crystal clear images of our sleeping angels.

Miku Baby Monitor

The camera image quality is amazing; it features HD picture and night vision, so you never miss a detail (maybe a cat you accidentally locked in the nursery whoops). And it doesn’t hurt that the camera itself is very sleek. It’s minimal, and blends in seamlessly with any nursery decor. Each monitor also comes with cord covers that easily adhere to the walls, meaning your nursery is safe.

Care+ From Miku

Care+ is a new addition to the Miku family, providing a comprehensive pediatric wellness dashboard. It analyzes all the data from your child’s sleep and breathing patterns, and can help identify anomalies in your child (think teething, colds, or sleep apnea).

Sleep is such a vital part of our lives; it impacts our growth, mood, physical health, and cognitive function. Ensuring my children have optimal rest has always been top of mind for me, especially with the knowledge that well rested children are 44% more likely to show interest and curiosity in learning new things. With the data from Care+, I’m able to stay informed on my children’s overall wellness and quickly address any concerns. Care+ is also a child health tracker, letting parents input feedings, diaper changes, height and weight, and temperature readings. It’s a one stop shop for your next pediatrician visit.

And the best news? Care+ works with all versions of the Miku monitor; you don’t need to upgrade your current Miku in order to access this valuable information!

Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+ Pros

There are many things I absolutely love about the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor. The first is that we don’t need to carry around another parent monitor. I’m not afraid to admit that there have been a few times that I’ve forgotten to turn on my parent monitor, or thought my husband had it at naptime. With the Miku, we both can tune in and see what’s happening with our phones (something we always have on us – for better or for worse). The next is that the app will automatically send you notifications when your child has fallen asleep or woken up. This has been amazing for me, especially when I’m trying to squeeze in a workout during naptime. I don’t need to constantly check a grainy monitor screen anymore, squinting to see if eyes are open.

Another thing I love about the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor has been Care+. The data analysis was especially helpful with my youngest recently, when we decided it was time to drop his second nap. Care+ allowed us to see his sleep efficiency had gone down (it was taking him much longer to fall asleep), and we realized it was the right time to go to one nap. Now we can see his sleep improving overall!

Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+ Cons

While the monitor has so many benefits, there are a few frustrations. The parent monitor does not easily scan between two cameras, meaning you need to manually switch between which child you’re watching. Our solve has been having each parent monitor one child on their phone overnight, but we could easily also set up the app on our tablet.

Another thing we discovered is that the monitor has a “no movement” feature which sends an alert when the child leaves the area and then no movement is detected; we received a few alerts that our children had no movement in their beds, but each time they were out of their beds. It was likely one of our pets getting in the camera frame!

Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+ Price

The Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is $399 with the wall mount, and $479 with the floor stand. Care+ is a paid add-on subscription within the existing Miku app and has two packages available currently: Care+ 30 (which tracks 30 days of video storage) is $9.99 per month or $99 annually, and Care+ Unlimited (with unlimited video storage) is $19.99 per month or $199 annually.

Is Miku’s Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+ worth the price?

With the amount of data this baby sleep monitor tracks, I think it’s definitely worth the price. It’s given me so much piece of mind, and provides so much benefit even beyond the baby years. For the price of a few coffees each month, Care+ provides access to a vault of data that can really help identify patterns with your baby (without having to start and stop a sleep timer).

Overall Conclusion of the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+

For people who really want to track what’s happening with their baby’s sleep and health habits, I highly recommend the Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor with Care+. It keeps all the data you could want neatly organized, and you’re not stuck writing everything down or monitoring the minute your baby fell asleep and woke up.
